May 3, 2024 | GWLA and Trans* Lounge hosted an amazing 'Speed Friending' event for trans and non-binary people in search of friendship and community... over 60 open-hearted individuals gathered on the rooftop of the West Hollywood LGBT Center and dared to be themselves.

April 17, 2024 | The group became a refuge for me to be heard, seen, respected and validated. It was a space where I could share my fears and desires, and listen to others’ fears and desires, which oftentimes reflected my own. It was a place for me to go once a week and feel a sense of community.
"Though each generation of queer & trans folks comes with greater battles, we also discover greater understanding, greater resources, and greater love. I am honored to be supporting my community in this capacity. I know that my younger self would be proud.”
