We are so excited to welcome Drew Hirschinger, LMFT as the newest member to our staff of clinicians at GenWell. Drew brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. With a focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth, Drew is an exceptional addition to our practice.
About Drew Hirschinger, LMFT
Drew Hirschinger is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with extensive experience in providing compassionate, client-centered care. Drew’s therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and collaboration, ensuring that clients feel heard and supported every step of the way.
Educational Background and Expertise
Drew earned her Master’s degree from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has undergone comprehensive training in therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. She’s worked with children, adults, parents, and families in various settings: including non-public schools, DMH-contracted locations offering home-based therapy services, along with Renewal Health Group’s Sanctuary Treatment Center. She possesses a keen awareness of the emotional and psychological challenges faced by children in their daily lives.
Specializations and Therapeutic Approach
Drew’s specialties lie in working with individuals and children, aged 3 and above, who are facing mental health concerns such as trauma, OCD, anxiety, and/or depression. She is particularly skilled in helping individuals who have experienced trauma, offering a compassionate and structured environment to process and heal.
Drew’s therapeutic style is warm, approachable, and highly collaborative. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and works closely with clients to develop personalized strategies for their growth and well-being.
