Drew Hirschinger, MA LMFT (She/Her)

at every stage of life, you have the capacity to grow and become your best self.

Hi everyone, I’m Drew Hirschinger and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with children and families. At the core of my work as a therapist lies the belief that at every stage of life, we have the capacity to grow and become our best selves. As someone who has personally benefited from therapy, I understand the significance of finding a therapist that you trust and feel supported by. I feel immense gratitude for the therapeutic relationship I build with my clients.

My therapeutic approach is first and foremost client-centered. I utilize techniques from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. My professional goal is to provide others with the same quality of help that I received, because everyone deserves to become the best version of themselves.

For my education, I received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Before joining Gender Wellness, I trained working with children, adults, parents, and families in non-public schools, a DMH-contracted site (which offered home-based therapy services), along with Renewal Health Group’s Sanctuary Treatment Center. I possess an acute awareness of the emotional and psychological challenges children encounter in their day-to-day lives.

I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, and believe that all children deserve the chance to explore their gender identity in a safe and supportive environment. I enjoy working collaboratively with families to determine the best treatment to achieve their child’s needs and goals. In addition to children, I also specialize in working individually with adults who are navigating anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, and/or substance abuse issues.

I’m looking forward to working with you!
